President Mori receives a check of $250,000 for FSM from the United Micronesia Development Association, Inc. in Saipan



FSMIS (December 7, 2013): In the Morning of December 6, the Federated States of Micronesia was presented with a check in the amount of two-hundred fifty thousand ($250,000) from the United Micronesia Development Association, Inc. (UMDA) in Saipan.

FSM President Manny Mori received the money on behalf of the FSM Government.

The amount of $250,000 derives from the National Government’s shares of stock with the UMDA as an investment under the care of the Department of Finance and Administration.  

The check has been given over to Mr. Kensley Ikosia, FSM Secretary of Finance, who is in Saipan to participate in a meeting.

The FSM National Government has a total of 50,000 shares of stock with the United Micronesia Development Association Inc. that is based in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.
